OUR STANDARDS

Editorial and medical-review policy.

The standards behind our content, sources, corrections and disclosures.

Evidence before promotion

Educational claims should trace to identifiable sources. We prefer regulators, original studies and clinical institutions, and identify manufacturer material as manufacturer material. A study title or a favorable result is not proof that treatment is right for an individual.

Human review is explicit

A page displays “Clinical review pending” until a qualified reviewer has reviewed its current version. A research link, automated check or editorial update is not medical review. Approved pages show the named reviewer and review date. Substantive edits remove that approval until the revised version is reviewed.

AI and illustration

AI assisted the preparation of the starter material and conceptual imagery. AI output is not a clinical source. Conceptual images are labeled and must not be presented as patient photographs, before-and-after evidence or accurate depictions of a clinical product.

Corrections

Use the correction link with the relevant page and a supporting source. Editors evaluate reports and update the record when appropriate. Major changes are documented internally with the content version and review history.

Commercial separation

Sponsorship does not purchase editorial conclusions, clinical approval or favorable search order. Advertisements are labeled and are not endorsements. Authors and reviewers should disclose relevant commercial relationships.

Content lifecycle

Sources and listings need periodic rechecking. Review dates describe a specific completed action; they are not automatically refreshed just to make content appear new. New articles remain drafts until published by an authorized administrator.
